We can't, in good faith vote for a bond which is so full of pork, so wasteful, and has so little to do with my child's success in life. Our money is too hard-earned. We have supported every bond in the past, but to do so now will only encourage this rash spending and reinforce the misconception that Okemos is somehow immune to an economic downturn. A better useage of any extra dollars one has "lying around", would be to beef up an IRA account, put it toward your kids college savings, or donate it to St. Vincent's. At least you'll know where your money is really going.
