Here's a story I just read that may be of interest to some people. I know that many universities faced a similiar situation first with laptops and then with ipods. The thought was that they would be great tools in the classroom, but then what was discovered was: a. students began to "cheat" using the technology and b. the technology began to drive the teaching/learning. I personally am unsure still of how I will vote, but do feel it's a real dilemna trying to weigh the potential benefits and costs of more technology in education.
