Thank you to everyone who worked hard to give the voters the information that they needed to make an informed choice on May 8.
A big thank you to Valerie von Frank and her family for being willing to sacrifice time and resources for the children of Okemos. Valerie's passion for education and her vision for Okemos should be an inspiration for us all. Don't let your frustration with the way things are done in Okemos overshadow your zeal for what we all ultimately want, kids of good character with the tools necessary to succeed in life. Thankfully, it's not our schools that will achieve this goal for them, it's loving parents and a community that cares.
