Despite whether kids will succeed or fail with the Montessori Method, it is just WRONG to spend money for a new program for a small number of children, when the larger number of children will have to sacrifice their own programs.
Especially when taxpayers have to pay for it, and when these same taxpayers were never given a choice!
The teachers in this district run the show, so they not only will have their tech toys, they will get their raises and bonuses handed to them on a silver tray approved by the very people they get to be voted on the school board each year.
Negotiations are probably a done deal by now...sneak it the raises before the cuts are made.
The only losers in this whole sordid mess are Okemos children and their beleaguered parents.
