We got this email from one of the orchestra directors today:
Dear 7th Grade Orchestra Parents,You may be aware of the potential program cuts that are facing the school district right now. Sadly, the 5th Grade Strings program is on the "Level I" list for potential cuts for the coming year. Any support you can show would be extremely valuable in retaining our 5th Grade Strings program for the upcoming school year. You can show your support in a number of ways:
- Plan to attend the School Board meeting (Monday, May 21, 7:00pm, Community Conference Room, Administration bldg.)
- Plan to speak at the School Board meeting on behalf of your support for the 5th Grade Strings program
- Write a letter to the Board of Education,
- Contact Board of Education members directly
Your support for the program can make a big difference! Thank you for your time!

Is it worth the effort to point out to the orchestra boosters that the same Board threatening to cut 5th Grade Strings for a couple hundred students just passed a major expansion of the Montessouri program for a handful of students?
