If history were clear, OEF funds/ The Okemos cares campaign did save strings and did pay for salary and benefits for a year. Not all of the money raised by Okemos Cares was designated just to strings. Lobby for Suzuki to be an approved propram in perpetuity. If the Board's meeting last night was any example of the OPS financial crisis parents and taxpayers ought to be furious. Once again the "sky is falling Chiccccccccccccccccccccccccchicken Little Card" was played. They got the Bond and so nothing changes. The 'artificial' cuts could have been made before the Bond. Threats were more effective. At least you got to hear something the Board doesn't contribute to the air waves, talent by three fabulous string musicians.
