Isn't Deb Duncan the same individual who runs etiquette classes through the U-Club? Now isn't that IRONIC? To think someone would steal from children's plates, yet tell them which fork to use. Almost Shakespearean.
Each PTO in this district should make a full accounting to it's parents come fall. Including how much of the candy sales went to advertise the last Bond election. Parents should have the choice through awareness and without recrimination as to whether they want little Johnie to bug the grandparents for money for these school slush funds. Especially when that money totals up in the thousands.
Now you may say, well, it is not very much money and MOST of it goes for the kids. Do you want your school to be MOSTLY honest? How about your children? Shouldn't we demand honesty at the school level? or am I just naive?
